Sister Families initially concentrated its efforts on the establishment of its demonstration project in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, in the southern part of the country. It also initiated supplementary advocational support programs to generate the potential interest of families in the Bacolod area.  This phase of the program is now complete, and a summary report is now being prepared for our donors, and for dissemination throughout the Philippines

Sister Families has also established a partnership with Norfil Foundation Inc., a Philippine non-profit agency, to provide support and services to families in the Metro Manila area who wish to adopt abandoned or relinquished children. Norfil has been running for over 25 years, providing child and family services mainly in Manila, and secondarily, in a few other locations in the country. 

Through this partnership, a social worker was engaged and ten babies have been matched to date.
