Sister Families is a program that
facilitates placing babies from orphanages into loving, local families.
It was brought to the Philippines in late 2004 with a demonstration
project in Bacolod City. Some 70 infants have been moved from local institutions and placed in loving, permanent homes in the Bacolod City
area. The demonstration program has now been completed, and those involved in the Bacolod City work continue without direct involvement with Sister Families. A new program has been initiated to serve Metro Manila, in partnership with Norfil Foundation. Ten babies have been placed thus far. More about... |
